Sewing summer dresses. I have been searching the web for shirring tutorials; found a blue million of them. I have a computerized sewing machine and nothing I did worked. I almost gave up, but then decided to just wind the elastic thread as I would any other bobbin, sew with a normal stitch length and backstitch the beginning and end of each row. SUCCESS! I made my daughter a cute little dress that she wore to a party today and everyone loved it. I thought I was going to pull my hair out trying to figure this out. Once you get it, elastic thread is a lot of fun to sew with. All I can say is patience, persistance, plus trial and error can equal success.
